is an opportunity for affordable housing developers and providers, supportive service providers, practitioners, social workers, elected officials, researchers, and those who are or those who have experienced housing instability or homelessness to come together to address the ongoing issues of poverty and the lack of safe, decent, and affordable housing in our region. This conference provides a venue for participants to collaborate with new partners to address these issues in their communities. The 2017 conference will highlight best practices to reduce and eliminate homelessness, as well as focus on the need for new affordable housing opportunities in the Southern region.

We are thrilled to announce our 2017 Keynote Speakers Nan Roman and Diane Yentel. Both leaders will share what they are hearing from across the country and how it will impact us here in the Deep South. They will address where we are headed and where we need to pay attention in the coming months. Nan Roman, President and CEO of the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH), is a leading national voice on the issue of homeless ness. Diane Yentel is the President and CEO of the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC), a membership organization dedicated solely to achieving socially just public policy that ensures people with the lowest incomes in the United States have affordable and decent homes.
In addition, local, regional and other national leaders will join us to share insights on a diverse range of topics. We have doubled the number of sessions offered this year and look forward to a highly informative conference. Presentations include but are not limited to the following topics:
In addition, we will have special sessions crafted for affordable housing developers, Continuum of Care organizations, DV/SA providers, housing service providers and rural organizations. Agenda is coming soon!
